Sachi Pionus Parrot wears the Aviator Harness.

Since today was such a beautiful day I decided to take Sachi out in her Aviator Harness. Unfortunately my other two happen to think that the AH is the most frightening thing around. That's fine. I will work at remedying that over the summer. Sachi isn't nuts about the process it takes to put on the harness but once it is on, she's pretty accepting of it and truly LOVES being outside and having me all to herself. Doesn't she look so pretty and adorable? She turns 5 years old on May 28.2012! We purchased (Small size) Aviator Harness at the website below. They are the innovators of the Aviator Harness and offer Worldwide Free Shipping.

Parrot Hormones? What's it about?

Not much to write here except please read the thread below. It is extremely informative. If in some tiny way it helps a parrot owner stay strong, stay positive and stay the course during those difficult times with their parrot, that in itself is a great accomplishment.

Pionus parrot colors display splendidly in the sunlight.

Here's my white capped pionus parrot Sachi looking lovely and vibrant in the morning sunlight. I still feel pretty stunned that pionus parrots aren't more popular. Must be because pionus parrots don't have that instant flash appeal that many people are drawn to. She turns 5 years old on May 28/2012.

No such thing as an attractive Severe Macaw...

That's exactly what I used to think. Mabel has proven me so wrong! Not sure if it's because I love her so much that I feel this way OR do I feel differently about this parrot species in general? Isn't she lovely. These were taken moments ago. I'm trying to figure out taking photos in natural lighting with my camera.

Emma African Grey Turns 4 years old this week!

Yes! I can hardly believe it myself. Time has flown by and I never imagined that I'd love somebody as much as I do my Emma. She's the naughtiest and the most strong willed of my 3 parrots, nonetheless she's my heart and knows how to touch my soul in ways unexpected. It's strange to explain and justify this, but Emma feels more like a feathered person to me than she does a companion parrot. I really love being her Mom and am eternally grateful that the universe allowed us to stay together after having lost her for 52 hours in June 2010. Happy Birthday my Beautiful Emma. Life is a zillion times better with you in it. XOXO. Please enjoy the short video below taken over the weekend.
